Objective:

To familiarize participants with the basic notions of the rule of law and good governance both at the central, decision-making level of government and at the decentralized level of policy implementation; To expose the participants to the good practices developed by the international community in dealing with all the components of peace building to prevent relapse into conflict in addressing the root-causes of; To convince the participants that respect for the rule of law, including the fight against crime and corruption through effective law enforcement and judicial systems, is a crucial prerequisite of economic development (in particular foreign investment and aid) as well as political stability.
